All other orders ship FOB – Meriden, CT, Thompson Plant. Thompson Chocolate will ship all products using the most appropriate method with a carrier of Thompson’s choice. All freight charges are the responsibility of the customer unless alternative arrangements have been agreed within 3 months prior to order. Special freight arrangements older than 3 months are expired. Preferred Carriers: If you are requesting a specific carrier, it must be noted at the time of order. Please provide your carrier account number if applicable. If carrier details and account number is not provided, the shipment will go collect with that specified carrier. Refrigerated Shipments: Truck shipments may require a refrigerated carrier during seasons when temperatures inside the container go below 32 degrees or above 60 degrees. Non-refrigerated Shipments must be requested by the Customer in writing and release Thompson Chocolate from responsibility for damages due to absence of temperature-controlled shipment. Out of Stock Items: Thompson Chocolate will automatically back order out of stock items unless otherwise notified. Lead Time: Normal shipment requests require 10 business days from date of order. Damages or Defects: |
Notify Customer Service within 3 days of receiving your shipment of any damages or discrepancies. Thompson Chocolate’s legal responsibility ceases at the time the carrier accepts shipment from our dock. Please note damages or discrepancies on the bill of lading prior to accepting from carrier. All returns must be authorized in advance through Thompson Customer Service department at (203) 235-2541. |
